Jon Polito was in 3 episodes of Modern Family as Earl Chambers, Jay’s business rival and worst enemy who was once the opposite of both of those to him, a business partner and best friend.
After his death, Robert Costanzo made one appearance as Earl while wearing a Halloween costume.

I really wish to have seen them together. It would've made for a great friend reunion.
In “The Musical Man”, I am extremely disappointed Jay and Gloria didn’t meet up with the Dunphys and with Mitch and Cam! Jay’s brother Donnie was visiting and wanted to see him with the other families! Are you disappointed by this too?

Yes, and her grandfather.After Gloria's father and grandfather? So how does the term "after her dead husband or his father before him" explain it? Because I don't understand the "his father before him" bit.
I know that Gloria's mother was wanting to name her grandson "Fulgencio Umberto", but can't understand what Gloria meant to say when she said:
You tell her that we're not naming him... after her dead husband or his father before him.
On the episode page it says after Pilar's husband and father. Is this what Gloria meant?

And also there was in “Travels with Scout” when Jay met Mitchell’s old friend Ben Dugan. I wanted to see Ben with Mitchell again too!

After Gloria got Joe back, we don’t know what happened to her! I hope Jay punished Gloria!
I’ve been wanting to see her in more episodes and to see her reunited with Claire! A reunion between two high school friends!

I am confused about what Jay and Dede's 35-year marriage was like.
They were married for that long and Dede left to find herself. Were they happy together?
Does the scene in "Caught In The Act" where Claire mentions walking in on the two watching that particularly racy episode of Hart to Hart count them being happy?
We know that Jay and Dede are on excellent terms after their divorce?
And the fight about the Dallas that was mentioned in "Disneyland" was only a one-time squabble ... or initially Jay wanting to divorce her?

There are several things I would’ve liked to see happening in the series, like these:
More appearances of Donnie and Becky, Jay’s brother and sister ... and the former interacting with Claire and Mitchell ... and also Donnie and Becky need interacting with Joe
Lily and Joe should’ve been at Phil’s mother’s funeral
Despite Walt dying, he should’ve been seen as a ghost and spiritual figure serving as a mentor to Luke ... or maybe he shouldn’t have died.
Phil’s mother should’ve appeared onscreen
Frank Dunphy shouldn’t have died
More appearances of the LaFontaine family and why did Ronnie LaFontaine Jr. appear only once? Also, they should’ve been seen interacting with the Pritchett and Pritchett-Tucker families
Gavin Sinclair being frightened of Gloria
If I wanted Haley to be with someone else, it should’ve been a guy in her grade who is a normal teenager who can do stupid things and is also in Dylan’s band. He would also be Dylan’s brother and they also have a sister.
Mitch and Cam adopt a son sometime later in the series and then in the end they adopt Rexford too.
