Ariel Winter Workman, better known as Ariel Winter, is an American actress, voice actress, singer, songwriter and model.
She is well known for her role as the eponymous character on the Disney Junior animated television series Sofia the First, although she has also guest starred on other television series like Listen Up!, Freddie, Monk, Jericho, Bones, Criminal Minds, Ghost Whisperer, and ER.
Ariel is best known as Alex Dunphy on the ABC sitcom Modern Family.

Winter was born in Los Angeles, California, on January 28, 1998, the daughter of Chrisoula (née Batistas) and Glenn Workman. She is the sister of actors Shanelle Workman and Jimmy Workman.

- She is currently a volunteer at SOSA, a non-profit organization aimed at keeping kids safe online.
