Diego is Manny's Spanish tutor whom Gloria hires to teach Manny Spanish. However he is not interested and prefers to learn French. After Manny's done with his lesson, Diego converses with Gloria in Spanish and later, they are seen together in the pool where Gloria tells Jay that Diego is also a swimming instructor and is going to teach Joe to swim. Manny comes out with Joe, having just changed him into his bath diaper and the swim lesson begins.
