Jessica Poter is an American television writer. She is a writer for Modern Family.

Jessica Poter was born in Northbrook, Illinois and has studied and performed at places like Upright Citizens Brigade L.A., The Groundlings Theater, and Broadway Theatre Project. She has a B.A. in Theater Studies from Yale University.
Jessica lives in LA, where she writes and performs in sketches and TV shows. She has been a writer on a bunch of shows, including PIVOTING on FOX and ABC’s Modern Family. She has developed two pilots for Disney Channel and is always working on more.
