Lainie Kazan is an American actress and singer. Her film career began in Dayton's Devils, starring alongside Leslie Nielsen. Later, Lainie was nominated a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Supporting Role - Motion Picture for her performance in My Favorite Year. Over the years, she made appearances as boisterous mother types. Notably in Beaches, 29th Street and My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
She played the character of Eleanor in "New Year's Eve".
