Melanie Pritchett is the daughter of Michael Pritchett and thus the granddaughter of Donnie Pritchett and the great-niece of Jay Pritchett.
She is mentioned when Donnie tells his brother Jay that he bought his shirt (the one he was seen wearing) for her baptism. Jay then asks "Who's Melanie?" and Donnie replies "Michael's kid. My granddaughter.".
Gloria then questions Jay how he could not know that his own brother had a granddaughter and Jay then replies that he probably knew, with Gloria questioning him further of how Jay could forget when Donnie is family.
