Ten Years Later[1] is the sixth episode from Season 9 of Modern Family, it aired on November 1, 2017.
Plot Summary
Claire is determined to make up for her less-than-joyful mood at Jay and Gloria's wedding by throwing their tenth-anniversary party. As part of the festivities, Phil is going to perform a magic trick featuring Gloria appearing out of thin air in her wedding dress; that is if Gloria can still get into it!
Episode Description
Phil and Claire plan a magic tour during Jay's and Gloria's 10 years of marriage. At the same time, Phil learns that a magician had his professionnal shop because he was unavailable at a moment.
Claire confesses that she actually is the real culprit and not Jay as Phil thought it was. Phil is very mad at Claire while seeing an unknown man have happiness in all aspects of his life, while he only is miserable at work. Claire feels guilty and finally buys the shop so Phil can pursue his professional dream.
Cam becomes obsessed with a battery solo but Mitchell refuses to give it to him .
Also, Jay believes that Gloria is mad at him because he told Manny that he couldn't come. But he is wrong. Manny actually came and this did not improve Gloria's bad mood.
In fact, Gloria was angry because Phil needed her for the magic show but there was a condition. She must wore the dress she wore the day she said yes. And now she desperately tries to gets thinner and thinner.
The episode finishes with every parent singing a jazz melody.
