"The Storm" is the fourteenth episode from Season 7 of Modern Family, it aired on February 24, 2016.
Plot Summary[]
A huge thunder storm brings wide power outages and the whole family congregates at Jay and Gloria's to use their generator, but Jay has one foot out the door desperately trying to make it to a reunion with some old Navy buddies. Meanwhile, Phil tries to be the hero and redeem himself after a very embarrassing public panic attack earlier, but only causes more headaches for everyone. Mitchell and Cameron grasp at straws trying to salvage Lily's birthday party where the most popular girl at school is in attendance, and Haley turns up the seduction efforts with Andy.
Episode Description[]
A huge storm obliges Jay to reluctantly receive the whole family in his house.
In fact, some guests are here too. They're Andy whose relationship with Haley progresses slowly. So slowly that Haley still thinks that Andy loves Beth , which he denies.
Also, Phil volunteers to replace Cameron during the Neighbor's party. But his coulrophobia makes him look a laughinstock for Claire, Alex and Luke. He desesperately try to help the others before Gloria make him realize that everyone wants to confide him their problems, and so is Jay who wanted to honorate a tradition but could'nt.
At the same time, Luke gets electrocuted and tries to flirt with Maisie as Alex and her have an equation to resolve. Meanwhile, Claire and Manny talk about sexuality since Manny does not want to participate at an exchange program.
Finally, with Lilly's eight birthday, Mitch and Cam are forced to handle a group of girls including a popular girl whom Lilly tries to befriend. Finally, Lilly takes a decision which benchs this girl.

Goofs[]
- When Cam gets out the wind-up emergency radio at Lily’s party, “Brick House” starts playing; but when the power on the radio quickly runs out and Cam has to wind it up again, the song starts playing at the exact spot from where it left off, even though it takes Cam a few seconds to wind up each time.
- When Manny opens the refrigerator as Claire looks for the wine opener in the drawer, the first shot from behind Manny shows the light inside is on despite the power being out.
